HOWL is home to the best in new music, fashion and culture, largely from Great Britain but also the wider world.
We’re an eclectic bunch with varying tastes and interests which is what makes HOWL a good example of a digital magazine; variety. We aim to bring you the latest in music news, including new album releases and reviews, live music reviews and everything you need to stay plugged in. We also feature the latest fashion trends, art and photography, not to mention coverage of gigs and events from across the UK.
In October of 2011, we were approached by Vice to become part of the Vice Blogging Network. Vice Blogging Network, or VBN is ‘a collection of what, in our opinion, are the most interesting, relevant and popular independently run blogs on the planet, primarily in the spheres of fashion, art, film, music, sex and technology‘. Don’t worry – we’re still totally independent. If anything you’ll see even more great, unique content.
THE PACK
Shaun Mooney - Founder and Editor
Location: London
By day, Shaun does digital marketing for Great Britian’s largest royalty collecting society. By night, he writes and runs HOWL, dances in his room to electro-pop (mostly AlunaGeorge, Disclosure and SBTRKT) and looks at cat GIFs on tumblr (HE REALLY LOVES CATS OKAY).
Duncan Harrison – New Music Editor
Location: Bristol
Duncan spends most of his time sitting judging things from the safety of his laptop. He like The Libertines and Waka Flocka Flame but doesn’t want them to collaborate. Once he made Jodie Marsh feel bad for not letting him take a photo with her. It wasn’t him who leaked the Tulisa video.
Honor Clement-Hayes - Women’s Fashion Editor
Location: Reading/London
As a child, this girl wore a colander for a hat. An obsessive love for slightly odd fashion endures to this day. Chuck in a bit of garrulous verbosity and you have our Women’s Fashion Editor.
Ruairidh Pritchard – Men’s Fashion Editor
Location: London
Having completed a stint at Glasgow Caledonian University studying Journalism and serving as the university magazine’s editor for two years, Ruairidh now lives in London working in magazine production, writing about clothes he can’t afford and dreaming of winning the lottery.
Zofia Skrakowski - Film & TV Editor
Location: Henley-on-Thames/London
