The lovely chaps at Zalando.co.uk asked if I’d like to review something from their online fashion store. I gave it some careful deliberation for at least 10 seconds – and then bit their hand off. You see, Zalando has one of the biggest clothing and shoe collections I’ve ever seen. If Very and Zalando had a fight, Zalando would win hands down for style variety.
As too many people know, shoes are my particular passion and as that is my area of – ahem – specialism, I thought I’d better review a pair. Especially as I really, really (really) like shoes.
So I searched ankle boots. And spent the next few hours blissfully browsing through 43 pages of the most varying, exciting and downright WEIRD shoe collection I’ve ever seen. Imagine if Imelda Marcos had dabbled in hiking, ballroom dancing, motorbiking and pole dancing – then you’d have Zalando. From great budget ranges like seven seconds to the £200 delightfully strange confections by Lola Ramona, I was hooked.
What did I buy? Well, true to form I went after a cheeky bargain by seven seconds, and soon my slightly slutty black knee boots (£38) were on their way. I knew that because Zalando very kindly sent me an email to let me know. And even better – free delivery AND free returns. I cannot abide online stores that charge for delivery and returns (Next and River Island I’m looking at you) so I was pleased to see Zalando keeping up with good online customer service.
I also had the option to pay through Paypal, which is very unusual for a big company. I took full advantage and whizzed past the boring stuff so I could go back to dribbling over my bargain bad girl boots. Lovely.

Lovely shopping experience with great customer service. Quick delivery, beautiful packaging, and a product that lives up to its photos and description. Would I shop Zalando.co.uk again? Yes. Should you? For sure.
